Amine Gas Sweetening ~ the use of Amine solutions [ diethanolamine ( DEA) , monoethanolamine ( MEA) , diglycolamine ( DGA) or MDEA ( methydiethylamine) ] to remove hydrogen sulfide ( H2S) and carbon dioxide ( C02) from natural gas and liquid hydrocarbon streams.
Enhanced Recovery ~ injecting miscible fluids ( polymers) or liquid CO2 to recover additional hydrocarbons from existing formation
Glycol Dehydration ~ the use of Glycols [ ethylene glycol ( EG) , monoethylene glycol ( MEG) or diethylene glycol ( DEG) ] for removal of excess water vapor from hydrocarbon gas before compression and storage/ transportation
Secondary Recovery ~ injecting fluids, usually water, into a reservoir to push additional hydrocarbons to producing wells
Produced Water Injection ~ injecting a fluid, usually formation salt water flow from oil well production, into a licensed disposal well to prevent ground surface contamination.
